Meet the team at Jacari
Anna coordinates our Community Tutoring programme in Oxford, supporting volunteers, liaising with our school partners and organising trips and events. Anna works part-time at our Oxford office in Cowley, and job shares with Shaiane.
Charlie coordinates our peer tutoring programme in Oxford, working closely with partner schools and supporting sixth-form peer tutors. She also organises trips and events. Charlie is based part-time at Jacari's Oxford office in Cowley.
Eleanor oversees our fundraising activities, including applying for grants, managing relationships with funders, donors and corporate partners and sending communications to supporters. She works part-time and remotely.
Hannah coordinates our Community Tutoring programme in Bristol, supporting volunteers and liaising with schools, as well as organising trips and events. Hannah is based part-time at Jacari's Unity Street office, and job shares with Katie Goldsmith.
Kate coordinates our peer tutoring programme in Bristol, working closely with partner schools and supporting sixth-form peer tutors. She also organises trips and events. Kate is based part-time at Jacari Bristol's Unity Street office.
Katie coordinates our Community Tutoring programme in Bristol, supporting volunteers and liaising with schools, as well as organising trips and events. Katie works part-time at our Unity Street office in Bristol, and job shares with Hannah.
Katy leads the charity as a whole and is responsible for overseeing all our activities, our strategic direction, monitoring our work, finance, and HR. She is also our Designated Safeguarding Officer. Katy is based full-time at Jacari Bristol's Unity Street office.
Shaiane coordinates the activities of Jacari in Oxford, supporting volunteers, liaising with our school partners and organising trips and events. Shaiane works part-time at our Oxford office in Cowley, and job shares with Anna.
Ilan is an Operations leader in high-growth tech start ups and joined the board in 2020 to help Jacari with our strategic planning.
Jenny is a Bristol-based community and corporate fundraiser, with experience supporting local and regional charities with income generation and communications. She joined the board in 2026.
Louise volunteered as a Jacari tutor during her time at Oxford University and now works in insurance. A qualified accountant, she joined the board in 2021 as our Finance Trustee.
Matt has experience in arts fundraising and operations management in the tech sector. He originally joined the board to help us with fundraising, and stepped into the Chair role in 2021.
Rameez has previously been a Jacari tutor and a Teach for India fellow, championing education equity. He is currently the Governance and Compliance Manager at a leading fiscal host in the UK. He joined the board in 2026.
Sofia joined our board in 2021 having been a Jacari pupil herself during her school years in Oxford. She also brings experience of English teaching to the team.
