It's Giving Tuesday! If you’re not familiar with Giving Tuesday, it is a global day for doing good, whether that’s donating to a charity, volunteering your time, sharing your skills or campaigning for an important cause. It started as a response to the highly commercial Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales and has been adopted by charitable organisations around the world. Giving Tuesday falls on the Tuesday immediately after the Thanksgiving weekend.
This Giving Tuesday, we want to keep it simple and be mindful of the current cost-of-living issues affecting many. Instead of money, we are asking for donations of games, books or fun teaching activities to add to Jacari’s library. Our volunteer tutors can borrow these and use them in their sessions with their pupils, making learning fun!
