We're delighted to receive funding from The Fore, a seed funder for the non-profit sector.
This grant has allowed us to create a new part-time Assistant Coordinator role for our Oxford branch and fund this role for 2 years. This replicates the staffing we already have in place in our Bristol office and gives Jacari more capacity and stability going into the next few years. Our Assistant Coordinators will be the main point of contact for volunteers and also liaise with schools, match pupils with volunteers and organise kids’ events.
We are really pleased to be one of 17 small charities selected by The Fore for their latest round of funding. Since its inception in 2017, The Fore has made over £5.8m in grants and offered over 4,000 hours of professional expertise to a wide range of small charities. Their venture capital-style approach to grant-funding and skills support has opened up access to finance and professional expertise for hundreds of innovative small charities and social enterprises. Alongside funding, they also provide access to strategic advice and pro bono support and training.
It's fantastic to receive this support, which will have a transformational impact on Jacari, helping us tackle educational inequalities and strengthen our support for volunteers, pupils and partner schools.
