We are thrilled to receive a grant of £15,000 from the Garfield Weston Foundation which will contribute to the running costs of Jacari’s programmes and will be split over the next two years. This grant will help us to continue providing vital, long-term educational support to children and young people who use English as an additional language in Bristol and Oxford.
Established over 60 years ago, the Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded, grant-making charity which supports causes across the UK and donates £90 million every year. It has donated well over £ 1billion to charities since it was established. The Foundation’s funding comes from an endowment of shares in the family business which includes Twinings, Primark, Kingsmill (all part of Associated British Foods Plc) and Fortnum & Mason, amongst others.
We are extremely grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation for their long-term support of Jacari’s work. Thank you!
