Jacari Photoshoot

We loved our recent photoshoot with Shaun from Fortitude Communications and we are delighted with the photos. We were chosen by Fortitude as one of the winners of their annual charity competition to receive free professional communications support and our prize was a photoshoot. We recognised the need for more photos showing our work on our website as well as having fresh images for our email communications, publications and social media.
We chose St Christophers' Primary School in Oxford for the photoshoot, where we run a weekly session for their EAL pupils. Jacari volunteers come to the school and tutor pupils individually or in small groups, helping them improve their English language skills and build their confidence by playing fun language games, supporting them with reading and writing.

Shaun was able to take a wide range of photos of the children along with seven of our Jacari volunteers. It was wonderful to feel the energy in the room and see how engaged the children were in the games and activities. There was a lot of interest in Shaun and he kindly let the children have a go with his camera at the end of the session!
Shaun really captured the strong bonds between the volunteers and pupils and the range of fun activities and games they were using to learn English. His photos also show how much the pupils enjoy their sessions with Jacari volunteers!
Fortitude Communications have kindly offered us a second photoshoot in the spring so we can take some pictures at an outdoor kids' event. This will show both elements of Jacari's programmes - tutoring and extracurricular activities.
We can't wait to share more of the photos with you on our website and social media.
