We are excited to share with you our 2020/21 Impact Report!
This is our first joint Bristol and Oxford report showing the overall impact of Jacari and we are so proud of the achievements of our wonderful pupils and volunteers
Despite the challenges of the past year and having to move to online tuition, we still found that regular one-to-one tutoring helped to improve the confidence, language skills and aspirations of young people who use English as an additional language.
Here are some of the key findings from the report:
Who we helped
We supported 159 children and young people.
We worked with 16 partner schools across Oxford and Bristol.
Impact on language skills
96% of pupils said Jacari helped them improve their language skills.
94% of parents said that Jacari lessons had helped their child improve their language skills.
Impact on confidence
100% of parents said Jacari has made their child more confident.
90% of our pupils said Jacari has made them feel more confident.
Other
89% of our pupils and 100% of their parents said they wanted a Jacari tutor again next year.
We delivered over 2000 lessons - our most ever!
