We are excited to welcome two new additions to our Jacari Bristol team this week!
Ashley George has joined us as an Assistant Coordinator on a part-time basis, job-sharing with Aggie Kaziszyn. He will be supporting Bristol volunteer tutors and be the main point of contact for some of our partner schools in Bristol, working with them to match volunteers to their EAL pupils. Ashley will also help us plan and run our extracurricular events and activities for young people in Bristol.
"Hello, my name is Ashley, I am one of the Bristol Assistant Coordinators. My role involves helping to recruit and manage some of the amazing volunteers who provide English language tuition in schools. I work for Jacari part-time as well as leading a local church. I have previously worked at Bristol SU, and I've spent many years as a volunteer athletics coach at Bristol & West AC. I love Bristol and I love seeing people reach their full potential! When not working, I'm likely to be found buried in a book with a coffee in hand."
Ezo Yildiz is our new Administration and Communications Assistant, working one day a week in our Bristol office. Ezo will be supporting our Bristol Coordinators with everything from communicating with our volunteers to running our social media for us.
"Hello my name is Ezo and I am very excited to be joining the Jacari team in Bristol as a Administration and Communications Assistant. I was born and raised in London and come from a Kurdish background which is where my passion for Middle Eastern politics comes from. I have a keen concern for the social justice system and have always wanted to help and support those from a disadvantaged background. I love travelling and cooking, with both my hobbies combined I enjoy exploring different cultures, countries and cuisines. I hope I can make a great positive impact and help as many people as possible with my time at Jacari."
