Oxford office move

Jacari Oxford has joined the Makespace community, moving into The Source, a space in central Oxford for charities and social action organisations. Makespace takes underused spaces across Oxfordshire and reanimates them into spaces for social action organisations and individuals delivering positive impact to their communities. They encourage organisations to share skills, collaborate and support each other. We’re excited to meet other organisations at Makespace and be a part of this project!

At The Source, we will be sharing an office space with other charities and individuals working in social action, including Rana from Iraqi Women Art and War and Jabu from Mothers 4 Justice Ubuntu.

What we love about being at The Source is that we have a base in the centre of Oxford which volunteers can easily drop-in to, meet with our Coordinator and borrow teaching resources. Along with our Coordinator's desk, we have space to display some lesson workbooks, reading materials and games for our volunteers to browse and borrow.

We also have access to an events space ideal for our volunteer training and workshop activities and a meeting room suitable for welcoming volunteers for small group or individual meetings. We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and continuing volunteers to these spaces from the autumn for a range of workshops and training sessions!

For those who would like to visit us at our new office space, the building is next to the Oxford Community and Voluntary Association (OCVA) offices on Floyds Row just off St Aldate’s. Here is our new address:
